TIM HOLMES has been a United States Professional Tennis Association certified tennis professional since1985 and has been the Director of Tennis for the Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club in Muscle Shoals, AL since 2003. Tim has instructed junior levels from beginners to USTA nationally ranked players as well as adults of all abilities. Because tennis is a lifetime sport, he emphasizes the “fundamentals” and that this is truly a sport for everyone!

The Cypress Lakes Tennis Center offers USTA league tennis for adult men and women as well as quadrants, round robin socials, mixed doubles socials and tournaments for both adults and junior players. All events are open to non-members of Cypress Lakes CC.

The 2008 Shoals Junior Circuit will begin it 6th season of play this summer.  Last year over 200 junior players competed in at least one event.  The junior circuit is a series of one day, singles only tournaments, which will be held on Saturdays throughout the summer.   The series will conclude with a “Masters” event  where only the top four players in each division will qualify.

USRSA Certified Racquet Stringing - Tim is the only USRSA Certified Racquet Stringer in Northwest AL and has been certified since 1991. This means that he has passed an extensive examination process and satisfied experience requirements to earn this designation with the U.S. Racquet Stringers Association.
